Billy Ray Cyrus’ kids are no strangers to the fame that comes with their family name. Naturally, most of them also stepped into the limelight and followed their dad’s footprint.
Billy Ray Cyrus first got married to Cindy Smith, but after five years, they divorced. After that, he had relationships with Kristin Luckey and Leticia “Tish” Finley, with whom he fathered children both born in 1992 – Christopher Cody and Destiny Hope. In 1993, he secretly married Tish, and they had two more children, namely Braison Chance and Noah Lindsey. Billy Ray also adopted Tish’s children Brandi and Trace from her previous marriage. The two are still together despite trying to divorce three times.

Brandi Glenn Cyrus
Born on May 26, 1987 in Nashville, Tennessee, Brandi is the oldest of Cyrus crew, the only daughter of Baxter Neal Helson and Tish Cyrus, and the older sister of Trace Cyrus. Brandi initially started out as an actress starring inZoey 101(2005),Hannah Montana(2006), andDeath Call(2015).
But in 2017, she decided to change her course and announced a home design show called ‘Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer’ with her mother, Tish. The Bravo show features Nashville homes restyled within a set budget. She is also the co-host of the Your Favorite Things podcast with Wells Adams.
Trace Dempsey Cyrus
While Brandi got into acting, Trace followed his father’s footsteps and pursued a career in music. Born on February 24, 1989 as Neil Timothy Helson, he legally changed his name to Trace Dempsey after getting adopted by Billy Ray.
You may not know him, but you’ve probably heard his songs. Trace is the lead guitarist of the synth-pop band Metro Station who was interestingly signed by Columbia Records after an intern came across their MySpace page. Their self-titled debut album dropped in 2007 and peaked at number one on the dance charts. On the other hand, their single from the album “Shake It” became a top 10 hit and a double-platinum.
According to Trace, he has been playing his guitar ever since he was a kid, and every summer, he would also join his dad on tour, which was his first dip into the music business. His band broke up for a while after their debut, but they got back again and resumed releasing albums and touring.
Christopher Cody Cyrus
Born on April 8, 1992, his mother Kristin raised him as a single mother in South Carolina. Although Christopher didn’t get to grow up with his dad and siblings, he was loved just as much. According to Billy Ray, he loved his baby son, and his mother and him are friends. He also added that there is mutual respect between the two of them. Billy Ray also made sure to provide child support for his son.
Christopher attended Keller High School before finally pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Texas. After that, he enrolled in the Juris Doctor program in the university’s law school. He graduated in 2017.
He is currently working as a Litigation Associate in Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell LLP.

Miley Ray Cyrus
Of course, everyone knows Miley Cyrus – the most popular Cyrus and probably even more popular than her dad in this generation.
But before she became Miley, she was first Destiny Hope born on November 23, 1992 to parents Billy Ray and Tish Finley. As the story went, Destiny was a very cheerful girl who loved to smile, which soon earned her the nickname “Smiley.” Eventually, it got shortened to Miley.
Miley started her career as an actress at eight years old, acting alongside her father in the seriesDoc. Two years later, she landed the character Ruthie in the 2003 Tim Burton filmBig Fish. Then in 2006, she earned the main role in the Disney seriesHannah Montanawhich turned out to be her breakthrough acting role. Miley also pursued music and is known for her songs “Wrecking Ball,” “Party in the USA,” “We Can’t Stop,” and many more.
She is also Dolly Parton’s goddaughter.
Braison Chance Cyrus
Two years after Miley, came her little brother Braison Chance. Born on May 9, 1994, Braison started his career as an actor, just like his eldest sister Brandi. He starred alongside his father inDoc(2001) and then theMTV Music Awards with PEOPLE Magazine(2015) andHeels(2016). He also acted in his sister’s seriesHannah Montana.
But unlike Miley, Brandi, and Trace, he didn’t really step into the limelight. As a Pasadena School of Arts graduate, Braison is a creative who focused on doing sketches and modeling. He was signed by Wilhemina Models at the age of 18 and made his runway debut in 2012. He also graced Dolce & Gabbana’s 2018 S/S show in Milan, Italy.
He is very close with his siblings, especially Miley, and they even have matching tattoos! And just this year, he made his sister an auntie (and his dad a grandpa) as he welcomed his first baby, Bear Chance, with wife Stella McBride Cyrus.
Noah Lindsey Cyrus
Noah is the youngest of the Cyrus crew. She was born on January 8, 2000 and at the age of two, she was already featured alongside her family in the seriesDoc. She later on made her film debut in Ponyo, where she voiced the main character. Noah also starred inHannah Montana: The Moviein 2009 as a background dancer.
Just like Miley and Trace, Noah pursued a music career and signed a record deal with Records in 2016. Later on, she signed a management deal with Maverick, and on the same day of the contract signing, she released her debut single “Make Me (Cry)” featuring Labrinth.
While it was amazing to be born as one of Billy Ray Cyrus’ kids who also shared the same passion in music as hers, she always had a difficult time being Miley’s little sister. In fact, the situation had become so unbearable that it inspired Noah to create the song “Young and Sad,” which was included in her albumThe End of Everything. Nevertheless, Miley has always shown her support towards Noah.
